The project idea

The objective of „(Attr)active Schools“ was to improve the attractivity of each participating school, so that the maximum amount of students would find it an institution worth going to, with offers and activities that are worth attending. The project aimed to find out the needs and requirements of their students in this respect.

While the project pursued a holistic approach and was generally open to any way of improving attractivity, it would act according to the underlying hypothesis that measures addressing healthy living would help students to achieve higher attendance, more concentration and focus, generally a more positive awareness of life and thus better learning results. Each measure proposed to improve the school’s attractivity would be examined as to its general feasibility, but also to its positive and negative impacts on students‘ health and well-being.
